Nostos Hub began with two paths crossing in 2017.

Fawzi, born and raised in Lebanon, spent his childhood surrounded by rich traditions and close-knit communities. As a young adult, he built his life in multicultural Melbourne, immersed in a city where Greek culture is woven into daily life. Later, he moved to cosmopolitan London, where the vibrant mix of people and traditions deepened his passion for experiencing and understanding different cultures. Newly married to a Greek wife, he wanted to connect more closely with her language and heritage.

That desire led him to Filisia, a native Greek tutor with a Master’s in Teaching Greek as a Foreign Language from the University of Athens. Their lessons quickly grew into much more than vocabulary and grammar — they became a doorway into Greek traditions, everyday life, and community.

For Filisia, teaching Greek had been her passion since 2007. With nearly two decades of experience and a background in tourism as a guide and cultural escort for English-speaking and Spanish-speaking visitors, she had long envisioned a place where language learning was inseparable from cultural immersion.

When Fawzi moved to Greece in 2020, the connection they had built over years of learning and conversation evolved into a shared ambition: to create something new. In 2025, they launched Nostos Hub — a new way to holiday in Greece, where language and culture are intertwined in unforgettable experiences. Here, Greek is not only learned but lived, giving every visitor a life experience and a lasting bond to Greece.
